Digital Workforce Academy, through its GTEC program, provides short-term industrial training leading to OSHA 10 and NCCER Core credentials and provides job-placement and referral support. Kiewit/TIC has agreed to interview every participant who completes the program. After three months on the job, participants may be assessed by Kiewit/TIC and offered an apprenticeship position based on performance, career interest, suitability, and available opportunities.

Important: Present Digital Workforce Academy/GTEC as the training and placement/referral provider and Kiewit/TIC as the interviewing employer partner. The agreement documents a Kiewit/TIC interview for successful completers and a potential apprenticeship offer after three months on the job; it does not identify Kiewit/TIC as making every participant's initial employment offer or guarantee employment or apprenticeship placement.

Earn while you learn through Gulf Copper's paid apprenticeship program. Selected participants receive hands-on shipbuilding and shipfitting experience while completing related technical instruction through Lamar State College Port Arthur. Employment and program selection are managed by Gulf Copper.

Important: Applicants must complete Gulf Copper's employment and selection process. Submitting an application does not guarantee selection. PAEDC does not select or employ apprentices.

CNA, LVN, and LVN-to-ADN/ADN-completion pathways with support up to $2,000 per semester for eligible Port Arthur residents and a total PAEDC investment not to exceed $250,000. Payments are made directly to LSCPA.

Prepare for entry-level employment in maritime and industrial welding through hands-on training at Lamar State College Port Arthur. Participants develop practical welding skills and work toward industry-recognized credentials.

This program combines classroom instruction with paid, on-the-job training at Gulf Copper shipyards. Students learn pipe fitting, plate fitting, and welding through active projects. Tuition is covered, and the program addresses a national shortage of skilled craft workers.

This accelerated program builds welding, safety, inspection, and fabrication skills. Students train online with virtual lab simulations. The program prepares graduates for entry-level roles in manufacturing and industrial operations.
